No. The strength of the materials is what matters. The ArmOR Hand Gloves use the strongest of the stretch materials, as well as a double layer of knit DuPont® Kevlar. ArmOR Hand is also reinforced in statistically high-risk injury areas. Additionally, ArmOR Hand offers superior flexibility and dexterity, increasing your ability to properly and safely restrain, decreasing your risk of injury. Additionally, leather gloves can not be washed. It is vital when working with animals to use a glove that can be washed in order to decrease the risk of infectious disease transmission. Our gloves are also made of all synthetic materials: synthetic/vegan materials.

The ArmOR Hand Gloves® are bite and scratch resistant (All animal handling glove are bite resistant). Every animal and every bite is different. We love hearing about when the gloves are used and injury is prevented altogether - there are countless reviews of this scenario on our Facebook page as well as our website. Many factors are at play when an animal bites: pet stress, interpreting body language, proper restraint technique, handler experience, etc. The purpose of The ArmOR Hand Animal Handling Gloves is you are able to achieve proper and safe animal restraint technique. With proper and safe restraint technique, the chance of injury is lessened. The gloves are textured, so pets will not slip through your hands. Pet stress will not be increased because you are able to maintain proper restraint technique – no more pets slipping through! Many vets who are certified in low-stress animal handling love the gloves because they are able to achieve the recommended “less is more” approach when handling cats.
ArmOR Hand is developed by a veterinarian. The gloves offer superior flexibility and dexterity. They are reinforced in statistically high-risk injury areas. The gloves are made of the strongest of the stretch materials (all synthetic materials) and are machine washable to decrease infectious disease transmission. The quality of the gloves is exceptional - they can be washed hundreds of times (there have been no customer complaints of the gloves not withstanding repeated washings). They are sized to ensure a proper fit and are a Fear Free Preferred product. The materials are expensive and not commonly found in other gloves but this is why ArmOR Hand fits and functions perfectly. You will not find these unique properties in any other glove or any knock-off product.
Yes. They are machine washable and can also be simply wiped clean. This unique feature of ArmOR Hand is vital when working with animals, in order to help decrease disease transmission.
Currently there are 2 styles. The Original Animal Handling Glove and the Procedure-Palpation Glove. The Procedure-Palpation Glove is the exact same glove as the first, but the first 3 fingertips are exposed. This allows for toe-nail trims, aspirating for cytology, cleaning ears, cleaning and clipping wounds, palpating, administering vaccines, and the list goes on. Which one is the right choice for you depends on your needs.
Yes. The glove has superior flexibility and dexterity, so you are able to administer a vaccine.
The size chart is accurate. If you use it, you will get the proper fit. Please note: proper fit is important for ArmOR Hand to function as perfectly as it should. If your hand is too large for the glove, the materials will stretch, and they will not function as efficiently. It is not recommended to share one size of ArmOR Hand Gloves with different sized hands.
ArmOR Hand Glove does not cover shipping fees associated with packages that need to be reshipped in the case of "Returning to Sender" or other shipping-related issues.
Once an order has left our fulfillment center, it becomes the responsibility of the shipping company and the customer to dispute issues regarding the shipment.
The gloves have been used with a variety of species and in a number of locations such as zoos, veterinary practices, animal shelters, wildlife rehab centers, and grooming facilities. ArmOR Hand has been used while working with bears, racoons, dogs, cats, hawks, bald eagles, squirrels, deer, bobcats, foxes, and a variety of other species. As always, please be cautious when handling animals.
Proper fit is necessary for the gloves to function as perfectly as they do. If a larger sized hand is wearing an ArmOR Hand Glove that is too small for that particular hand size, the materials will stretch and the glove will not be as protective.
ArmOR Hand is personal protective equipment (ppe). As with all ppe, it should routinely be inspected. Normal wear and tear will occur after repeated use. If ArmOR Hand has wear and tear, it is time to replace the gloves for maximum safety.
ArmOR Hand is a reusable ppe product that can be worn Instead of using gloves that are disposable (such as latex gloves) and reduce waste.
